Instead, it's a decision that flows from the heart and it takes special individuals to serve as a Merchant of Hope to others.
As you begin your journey toward becoming a mentor, you will need to thoroughly understand the role of mentoring. Take some time and reflect on the roles that other Merchants of Hope have played in your life or that you are already familiar with. At some point in your life, you have had teachers, coaches, supervisors, professors, tutors, or some other influential person in your life who have made a positive difference in your life. These individuals had to wear many roles and often served accordingly to have a positive impact. Guess what? As a mentor, you will do the same.
