2017 Scholarship Opportunities



iGlobal Educational Services supports high school students across the globe each year with annual scholarships ranging from $500 to $1000. Scholarship recipients excel academically and in service to others. Most Scholars share a passion for serving others and many have overcome tremendous challenges to pursue their dreams.

High school seniors through the United States who meet the eligibility requirements may apply for one of our annual scholarships. The application deadline is March 31.

THE DR. ALICIA HOLLAND SCHOLARSHIP is an one-time achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors each year. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. Four Scholars are selected each year to receive an annual scholarship ranging from $500 to $1000.


For the 2017 program cycle, the application for this scholarship opened on December 1, 2016.


Eligibility Requirements



Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:


* Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the United States.

* U.S. Citizens; U.S. Nationals; U.S. Permanent Residents

* Anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application;

* Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution;

* Carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA at the end of their junior year of high school.

*Have at least a 21 or higher on their ACT test or at least a SAT Score of 1096.

*Provide documentation of active community service and character.

*Demonstrated Need for this Scholarship.


Applicants may not:


* Be children or grandchildren of employees, officers or owners of iGlobal Educational Services, Company divisions or subsidiaries.

What is the Dr. Alicia Holland Scholarship Fund?

Dr. Alicia Holland is a Distinguished Young Professional in Education and has made numerous contributions through teaching, research, leadership, professional literature, scholarship, and community service. She started her teaching career at age 20 and later received her doctorate at the age of 26. Since then, Dr. Holland teaches doctoral level research courses and serve as one of the Lead Faculty Area Chairs for Research at the University of Phoenix.  Additionally, Dr. Holland guest teaches at other accredited online universities and just recently spoke at Harvard University.

She travels the world with her two beautiful daughters sharing her message: "You are Loved, Valued, and Competent" to humanity as an Ordained Spiritual Minister and Intuitive Transformational Life Coach. Lastly, Dr. Holland conducts seminars and conferences throughout the world on spirituality, tutoring, personal development, and helping people make money while they sleep.

Dr. Holland comes from a disadvantaged background and had several Merchants of Hope to help throughout both her academic and personal journey. Thus, this commitment to education enables this scholarship to support high school students each year, with annual scholarships on behalf of the iGlobal Educational Services.

The mission of the Dr. Alicia Holland Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarship programs and lifelong enrichment opportunities in support of deserving people to quench their own thirst to be a Merchant of Hope to others and serve humanity.

What scholarships are available to prospective applicants, and who can apply?


Currently, iGlobal Educational Services awards funding through one scholarship program each year:

How do I Apply for The Dr. Alicia Holland Scholarship?


An initial application becomes available on our website,, in late summer/early fall each year. An initial application becomes available on our website by December each year. Click here for the 2016-2017 scholarship application.

If you are at that time a high school senior with at least a 3.0 GPA, you may apply by completing the online application by the March 31 deadline. The application requires you to list your grades, school and community activities, employment, and a well-written essay. Additionally, you are required to submit the following information:

Required Materials


The following items are required to complete the application process. These items must be submitted in a single envelope in the order listed. All items received separately will be discarded. Any additional items will be discarded.

  • Application – must be on the original form, typed and signed.
  • Statement of purpose stating how this scholarship will help you achieve your goals. (2 pages maximum.)
  • 2 Letters of recommendation from professional, teacher or school official.
  • 1 Letter of recommendation from a community leader.
  • High School transcript. Transcript must be from school, but not in an official sealed envelope. Transcripts must include your class rank. If it does not, please have your school counselor or other designated school official to include a letter on school letterhead certifying your class rank at the time of application.
  • GPA stated on application must be verifiable from transcript. Transcripts must have school name printed on it.
  • 2 additional copy of all above items must be included. Copy must blind all references to the students name and address.

Can I mail in a paper application?


Yes, all paper applications will be date and time-stamped. You can mail in your paper application and supporting documents in a secured envelope to the following address:

What does iGlobal Educational Services look for when selecting recipients?


Dr. Alicia Holland Scholarship recipients are well-rounded, bright students who not only excel academically, but are also actively involved in their school and community. These leaders are passionate, service-oriented, and demonstrate a sustained commitment to bettering their community.


Is the scholarship need-based?

No, the Dr. Alicia Holland Scholarship is achievement-based. 


How can the scholarship be used?

In addition to using funds for tuition at an accredited college or university, Scholarship Recipients may also use their funds for other educational expenses, such as on-campus housing, a computer, and textbooks. Official Proof of Enrollment will need to be submitted prior to iGlobal Educational Services sending your scholarship award to the accredited college or university.


What are the benefits of becoming a Scholar?

In addition to the monetary award, iGlobal Educational Services greatly values staying connected to their recipients even after college. In collaboration with Dr. Alicia Holland, iGlobal Educational Services hosts frequent receptions for Scholarship Recipients throughout the country and also invites Scholarship Recipients to return to Austin for a Leadership Summit once every five years to engage in interactive sessions developed by alumni.
